April 25, 2021 Update

  • Enrollment is now in the program named “2021 Skills Training”
  • Pods are no longer limited in size
  • Drills can be done individually, in pairs, and in groups
  • Soccer equipment is permitted (e.g. ladders, cones, pop up goals, goals, etc)
  • Contact drills are permitted, including 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3s.
  • Scrimmage is permitted
  • Player drop-off and pick-up protocols no longer required

February 22, 2021 Update

Skills Training Program resumes, in compliance with the recently issued County of Los Angeles Health Order and the City of Alhambra Field Permits.

November 29, 2020 Update

In compliance with the recently issued County of Los Angeles Health Order and the City of Alhambra, we are temporarily placing the AYSO Region 60 Fall 2020 Skills Training Program on hold. This will begin, Monday, November 30, 2020, and continue in effect through Sunday, January 3, 2021, during which time no pods may hold practices. We are setting Monday, January 4, 2021 as the target date that Skills Training Program pods may resume practices, contingent on the County and City reinstating our ability to proceed.

November 18, 2020 Updates

  • Program is extended through January 2021
  • Weeknight practices at Almansor Park will be on the 10U field. This is located on the northwest portion of the park, inbetween the playground and tennis courts. It is shown as Fields 1 and 2 in our Game Field map. [click here]
  • The check-in booth will now be located in between the playground and equipment bins at the 10U field.
  • Drop-off will be in the parking lot near the playground. DO NOT use Los Higos, as AYSO will not be there.
  • Pick-up player from their coach after practice.
  • We will not have lights for practices on the following Fridays: 11/27/2020, 12/25/2020, 1/1/2021 


Attending/viewing this Parent Orientation is a requirement for participating in the Skills Training Program.

AYSO Region 60 is returning to play with a Skills Training Program, based on:

  • County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health Protocols for Youth Sports Leagues
  • Field Permits from the City of Alhambra and the City of Monterey Park
  • AYSO Return to Play Protocols

  • Player must be registered in AYSO Region 60
  • Parent/guardian completed the AYSO COVID-19 Waiver during the registration process
  • Parent/guardian attended a program orientation (parent's will receive details to attend once enrollment in the 2020 Fall Skills Program is complete)
  • Digital Health Screening completed at every session

  • Players that are currently enrolled in the 2020 Core Program, must also registered for the 2020 Fall Skills Program, at no additional charge
  • Players that are NOT currently enrolled in the 2020 Core Program, may register only for the 2020 Fall Skills Program, and must pay the $20 fee
  • Players will be placed on a waitlist while we identify a coach for their group
  • Parents will receive instructions to attend a virtual orientation

  • Skills building training
  • All drills will be done individually or in a pair (e.g. dribbling, passing, agility, balance, coordination, etc.)
  • Contact and group drills are NOT allowed (e.g. 1v1, 2v2, rondos, scrimmages, etc.)
  • 1-hour training sessions
    1 training session per week for approx. 5-6 weeks (final practice will be during the week before Thanksgiving)

  • For the health and safety of everyone involved, players and volunteer must complete the on-line screening before participating in each soccer practice at the following site. [click here]
