What to expect during tryouts?
When you arrive please check-in at the desk. Each player will receive a pinnie with a number. This is how they will be identified over the different tryout days. Once a player has checked in and is wearing their pinnie, they can head onto the field. There will be a section for the boys tryouts and a separate section for the girls tryout. Only players and evaluators are allowed on the field. Family members may watch from a distance.
Tryouts will consist of:
Warm up/Individual skills evaluation including Dribbling/Passing/Control/Finishing/GoalKeeping
What if my player can only attend one of the tryout days?
It is recommended that players attend as many tryouts as possible to give the trainers sufficient time to assess each player.
What if my player can’t make the tryout?
If your player has a conflict due to illness, injury, or an emergency, please reach out to us, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. While we cannot guarantee adjustments, we will make every effort to assist in genuine emergencies. However, we kindly ask for your understanding that adjustments will not be made for non-emergency or unreasonable requests, as our goal is to serve the majority of families efficiently. We are committed to proceeding with fairness, transparency, and consistency for all players and families involved.
When will we know if my player made the team?
Teams will be announced by mid April. They are based on open and fair evaluations and are chosen to create a competitive balance.
Can my player tryout with a different age group?
If your player wants to “play up,” it will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. There is no playing-up for the 9U division.
See you at tryouts.
